                Story Time

Note: There will be no in-person Story Time in fall 2020 due to COVID, but watch for some online story times with Miss Randi coming soon.

Caro Library offers pre-school story time sessions free, open to the public, three times a year. There are five week sessions offered in the fall, winter and spring. Registration is required.

  • The sessions are recommended for 2 - 4 year olds. In the event the library would be closed for any reason then the story time would also be canceled.
  • We introduce young children to books and reading at story times. Story times are a fun way for a child to build listening skill while interacting in a group setting with their peers. We will share the love of books through: stories, games, finger plays, flannel board stories, crafts, rhymes and songs. Parents are free to stop in at the library or call for more information.

School Tour

Note: In-person tours are not currently available. If you would like a class specific online tour, please contact Miss Randi at 673-4329 x103.

Groups wishing to tour the library are encouraged to make arrangements for a guided tour at least two weeks in advance. These tours are offered at no charge. Tours will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pre-Schoolers’ tours last approximately one half hour and include a chance for the children to see how the books are checked out, tour the various sections to familiarize participants with the Library, and end with listening to a story being read by the Librarian.

Older Students tours have a greater focus on the services of the library and the functions of the various levels and spaces. They learn how to use the computer card catalog and then how to find the books on the shelves.
